Industry
Mojave's first industry, serving the many travelers through the region, is still an important part of the local economy. Mojave Airport is the community's primary industrial park, but local residents are also employed at a number of other industries, including those listed below. Mojave's key location on two major highways, the nation's two largest railroads, (Burlington Northern Santa Fe and Union Pacific) with an airport capable of handling any aircraft built, and within 90 miles of the Southern California megalopolis, makes it a perfect location for distribution industries.
Mojave is also fortunate to be in Kern County, whose leaders have made economic development a top priority. For information on locating a business or industry in Mojave, please contact Don Stowell, 661.824.2200.
